Blogger hasn't yet posted the last week's entries here. Got multiple sessions in over the weekend, but don't yet see progress... Lamb's "Champagne Rag", Marshall's "Kinklets", Nazareth's "Odeon", others. Had some lap steel (why does it always sound so damn good after a layoff?), and figured out to use both mallet and brush on a drum like Piper said (although she didn't use a jingle stick). Had a long spell of listening to Bulgarian and then picked up some Duke Ellington, was surprised to be listening most closely to the drums. Haven't sung in a heck of a long time... this autumn I suspect I'll do more studying than playing.
